Using a makey-makey
A makey-makey acts and is a keyboard. It’s only a little simpler, instead of lots of buttons, the makey-makey only has six that I know of. These are the keys, up, down, left and right arrow, space key, and click.
I’d give my makey-makey to you guys to try it for yourselves, but I can’t. So imagine that when you press the up arrow, you’re pressing a button on the makey-makey. You’d press a piece of a paperclip that was connected with a wire to the up arrow on the makey-makey, and something will happen in scratch.
My project was based on my favorite series, Warriors. It’s about cats and Bramblestar vs The Sisters is one of my favorite battles. I learned how to use a makey -makey while creating this project, and the hardest part of creating it, was getting the sprites to go where I wanted them to go, how fast I wanted them to get there, and if I wanted them to look different there, how to make them look like the way I wanted them to. They were my main challenges, and I overcame them by trial and error, and lots of redoing.
To my surprise, I made almost no changes from my original plan, and if I could do it all over again, I’d spend more time working on it in the beginning of this project so that I can make it longer and more detailed. However, I’m still very proud that I managed to make a pretty long project, about 30 seconds. It might not seem very long, but it took about 3 hours to make(Planning not included).
Anyway, here’s the link to my project, press the up arrow, then down, then left then right, then space. It was pressing paperclips, but you can’t press them. So yeah, have fun trying it out!
